I became a caregiver because I had been caring for my own elderly family members for many years. A few years later there was a position available for a companion/caretaker and I was confident it was something that would be suitable for me as it was a progressive fit.
I have five years experience with bathing/showering the elderly, giving medications, assisting with wheelchair/walkers, preparing light meals as well as light cleaning.
I love my job because I truly care for the elderly and want to provide a loving and nurturing environment that the elderly need.It is very rewarding to see people in this position uplifted and happy from the safekeeping and management of my skills as well as my warm and loving personality.
I truly care for the elderly as I would with my own parents and always provide the comfort and security that they need.
