Leah’s Bio
After graduating from Russell Sage College with a bachelor's degree in nursing, I was employed as a rehab nurse at Barnwell Nursing Home. Following that, I worked as a community health nurse in Columbia County until my first child was born. From 1988 until the present, I have been raising and homeschooling my five children. My youngest is now 14, and I have a little more free time for some part-time employment. Recently, I completed a certificate program in parish nursing, a specialty where the nurse works in the community with a focus on wholistic care, patient assessment, and referring the clients, as necessary, to local community resources.
