I became an STNA while I was still in high school while working at a nursing home. I moved on to in home care as a certified home care aide with the Visiting Nurse Association. I worked with them for 10 years then took a few years off to take care of my only child when he was old enough for preschool. I then took on some private clients for a few years then found work with a wonderful agency that eventually hired me to do thier scheduling, give assessments, along with some managerial work doing this allowed me to learn a great deal. I love working with kids as well as elderly.
