My grandma had diabetes. At the beginning, she was still able to take care of herself. But as the disease progressed and she was getting old. She needed a lot of help from us (my family). I was glad that I had been able to take care of her and been there for her. We cooked her favorite meals, watched movies together, I read books to her, or we just sit on front porch and she told me all stories about her life. Maybe this is just a story like so many stories out there, but to me it means a lot and I still miss her so much. My grandma had taught me to appreciate and respect elderly. My grandma was the reason I want to be a care companion and I will always do my best to help elderly.

I don't have much training on caregiver or nurse as I took different path on my career as a medical researcher, but with ability to learn fast, follow instruction and warm heart I believe I will be a good care companion and helper
