Hi,
My name is Judy and I'd like to tell you about myself.

My husband and I moved to western Geauga County seven years ago. At that time we moved my elderly mom and dad into our home. My mom suffered from mid-stage Alzheimer's dementia and needed help with activities of basic living (ADL's). My dad had serious health conditions that led to occasional hospitalizations and regular visits from a home health nurse. Both are now deceased but lived to the age of 89. It was mainly caring for them that led me to pursue formal medical training. I am a Licensed Practical Nurse.

In addition to caring for my own parents, I had the opportunity to provide intensive end-of-life care for my father-in-law (who was enrolled in hospice) in his own home.

I am currently a wife, a mother of grown children, a homemaker. I enjoy healthy cooking, exercise, my two Labrador Retrievers, working in the yard, sewing and crafts, and travel. Before I moved to this area--and when my kids were young--I worked as an Administrative Assistant and was a volunteer Girl Scout leader and Soccer Coach, both for several years. I was also known as the "neighborhood organizer". At this time I want to become more involved in my community and help others.

What I can offer you is companionship, help with appointments or shopping, cooking, light housework and discreet personal care for an active senior that just needs a little help. I can also provide short-term more intensive non-medical personal care for someone who is recovering from surgery or is terminally ill.

I would like to meet with you and discuss your needs, while you learn more about my background and qualifications. My compensation will vary, depending on your unique situation.
