Have been in the medical field for twenty years, was in nursing program, but unable to complete at the time; although, I kept my State Tested Nursing Assistant certification, so I could continue to be a caregiver. Have experience working in hospitals, doctors office, assisted living and private duty, taking care of clients within their own residence.
Have excellent clinical background, study Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology; along, with working in hospitals and having knowledge of aging and specific development factors within adults and geriatric. Enjoy working with seniors helping them to keep their independence by living at home. Have provided hands on caring for clients with Hospice, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Dementia, Alzheimer's, Post-op-Surgery and clients on oxygen. Have good transportation, for appointments, errands. Able to provide and assist clients with bathing, dressing, range-of-motion, prepare meals, light c leaning, emotional support and companionship.
