I have been fortunate enough to have been caring for people since 1993. it started out as a summer job from college for the four and ended up as my career. It didn't happen on purpose I promise. I had acquired my Bachelors' Degree in accounting and got a job at what was then Blue Cross & Blue Shield. After 2 years of that I had had enough. I told my husband that I was not fulfilled and that I wanted to care for people like I did on break from school. He thought I was insane till I told him I needed to do something with a purpose. so he eventually saw things my way so I went and got my STNA license. I didn't want to be a nurse because I wanted to experience the hands-on reality of helping people.
