I have been working as a direct support professional for the past 3.5years. This job included caring for a developmentally delayed 6year old boy- pick up/drop off at school, working on potty training, doing fun activities in the community such as going to the park or swimming pool (depending on age of child/children and ofcourse with parents permission ahead of time), arts & crafts, 'games' based around learning, meal preparation, and overall making sure he was happy, safe, and always well taken care of. I am first aid/CPR certified, have a valid driver's license, a perfect driving record, and no criminal record.
Working with children is and always has been a passion of mine. Before I started working as a dsp, I did childcare off and on for children ages newborn-9 years old.
