I have 19 years experience in the field, but I really have been a caregiver all my life, just ask my family, they'll tell you...he he he. It's more a calling than a job.
I've worked in facilities, including a skilled unit, at adult foster care, as a manager & in home private care with an agency & independently. I have taken the CNA course on 2 separate occasions. I have taken the CPR course annually for the 19 years while in the field.
The last 13 years I've taken care of the welfare & safety of staff & children in our Portland public schools, as their head custodian. Loved my job, as I do with old people, nothing personal.
I have 30 years of work references that I have received high recommendations in. ( verifiable )
I have a love for this generation, they deserve so much more than they receive. To honor them it's to honor my grandmother, who was taken to heaven way to early.
