I love being a caregiver. I believe to be a good caregiver you need to be friendly, honest, be able to be there for the client when ever they need you, no what your doing, you need to be able to carry a conversation, and have a good heart. Most elderly just want someone to talk to or read to them. They want to feel special and they want to feel like you care. If someone is taking care of someone just for money then that person will not be a good caregiver. You need to enjoy it. Most people can tell if your there for the right reasons. I took care of my grandma before she passed away. It was not easy because she was my grandmother. And knowing she was dying was exstreamly hard for me. But I did not trust anyone else with her. She wanted someone to talk to and someone to tell her stories or play games with. When you leave a stranger with your loved one that can't defend his or her self you need to be sure that stranger is a good person. It's very important to know who you leave your loved one with. I can be that person you can trust and the one to hopefully put a smile on your loved ones face. Or if you just need someone to cook meals, clean them up, clean up the home, help to the bathroom, take to appointments, etc. I can do just about anything you need. And I would be honored to help in any way I can. I have taken care of kids, babies, elderly, and people with down syndrome. It brings me joy to help others. Let me know if I can help you in any way.
