As a former volunteer at CECC (Children's Extended Care Center) and an RSA at Tiger Columns Retirement Home I am familiar with the companion care needs of the elderly and those with disabilities. Watching my grandmother struggle with, and ultimately succumb to, Alzheimer's disease has also given me insight into the extra care necessary as we age.
