While I am new to the caregiver field in a formal sense, I feel I have the skills and personality to make a great companion oriented caregiver. Having worked in several professional kitchens, and possessing a personal passion for cooking, I would love to prep and serve delicious, fun and healthy meals to my client, taking particular care to find out what they like and need in their diet. I also have several years experience of working in an animal shelter, and can help with pet care, also. While my concrete professional caregiving experience may end here, I do have years of personal experience taking care of my 80+ year old grandmother living at my home with dementia. It was a difficult experience, but one that was enriching and soul affirming. I would prefer to work with older people rather than children, feeling my calm demeanor and listening skills would allow me to connect with the client and provide the best care possible. My goal is to do everything I can to place the client and their families mind at ease, knowing they have a caring and responsible caregiver on hand. I have a serviced car at the ready, for any transportation needs.
