Experience being the best teacher, I was taught well. My grandmother retained in-home services, very home-compassion caregivers who became family. My mother maintained in-home service work for over 30 years until obtaining work at Temple Hospital in housekeeping until retirement. My skills were obtained from childhood raising a host of niece and nephews, and kids of family & friends, when diapers were cloth and bottles were sterilized.
I've spent 30 plus years helping others, both family & friends as well as church and business, currently volunteering at MANNA where I prepare healthy meals for the terminally ill, make follow-up calls to check-in and ensure the meals are enhancing health and some due diligence.
Most efficient skills include culinary and senior citizen assisted living services such as doctor visits, grocery and incidental need shopping, housekeeping, and baby-sitting, with emphasis on monitoring diet in relation to illness.
My business background includes contract mortgage loan underwriting and real estate sales from 1976-2008 when market crashed resulting in unemployment. Comcast from 2011-2013.
College courses include Business Admin. at Temple Univ., Culinary Art at Art Institute of Phila., Comm. College of Phila., & Real Estate Sales at Drexel Univ. Also, a host of work related seminars and certificate programs.
At 55 yrs old, divorced and bored w/unemployment, it's important to work in a field where passion is key.
Hobbies include music (singing on Church Choir), reading, writing and quilting.
