Hello!

My name is Mauvette Malizia. I am recent graduate at Auburn University, with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. Having taken several courses on the developmental stages across one’s lifespan, I have gained knowledge and an understanding of human behavior and interaction as well as communicating effectively with others. I would find it gratifying to work with young individuals to enhance their preparation for the future.

I have volunteered in various areas that involve working hands-on with a diverse group of individual’s clients where communication is crucial. In addition to volunteering experiences, my work experience has enhanced my communicating, intuition, and leadership skills. This has influenced me in a positive manner that would be beneficial while working with clients.

Previously, I worked in a shelter and outreach program for women and children of domestic violence. Dealing with fragile situations, my listening skills and ability to build a trustworthy relationship improved. I answered crisis calls, conducted support groups, client intake, safety planning, and case management work. Using my interpersonal skills, I created life long relationships with some of the strongest women I know. I served as an intern, mentor, and a friend. Through working opportunities and education, my ability to interrelate with clients in a professional and timely manner have made me a qualified candidate for this position. Through education, I have discovered the important of ones civic duty and how important it is to create a positive change for those near and around the world.
