I am a professional individual with a B.A. in Education and a B.S.N., RN.
The focus of my nursing career was women's health specializing in reproductive medicine and infertility. I opted for early retirement from the hospital but desired to remain employed part time in a caregiving role. In 2011, I was hired privately by a lovely 80 year old women in need of a care companion and continued to offer support services until her relocation in 2014 to be closer to family.
The three years I functioned as a personal care companion was a special and rewarding experience for me. I enjoyed my time working closely with my client and, to no one's surprise, our relationship evolved into a lasting friendship! Caregiving comes naturally to me and my education, well developed interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a sense of humor and positive outlook all contribute to my ability to care companion with intelligence, sensitivity and compassion.
