I consider myself an Experienced Professional Family Care Giver for the whole family, due to the fact that I have been giving quality care now for over 25 years to all ages. I am 46 years young. I have three children who are all away at college,their actually not children any more. Ashley 21, Tayla 20, and Ryan is 18.
The reason I mention my children is because they were the reason I continued to peruse my career in child care. In 1996 I opened Hugs From The Heart Family Day Care. I was a Licensed Provider /Owner in the state of Massachusetts for 8 years before moving to Rhode Island in 2004.
I attended the University of Rhode Island and earned credits towards a degree in Psychology while working for Citizens Bank.
In 2008 I attended Rhode Island College where I obtained my Medical Assistants Certification. I worked in Urology for 2 plus years.This is where I acquired a great deal of knowledge caring for the elderly,as well as many other necessary skills working directly with the Physicians on a day to day basis. As a Medical Assistant in an extremely busy office I was able to help care for people of all ages.
I left my position at the Urology group to care full time for my elderly Grandmother who we moved into our home. Last Fall she took a turn for the worst and we were confined to the house due to the nature of her illness. Last December we took her home and 3 days later she passed peacefully in her sleep with my husband and I by her side.
I am sharing this personal story with you because it is all part of my experience and training in life situations.
I have been a Care Taker for many years because I love to help those in need. Being a Care Taker to me means, making your loved ones part of my family. I would also love to be a part of yours.
I didnt leave out your pets!! If you have friendly pets, they are part of your family too and I am well experienced with pets so caring for them is no problem for me,as long as they feel the same about me? I am an animal lover too.
