I started working a summer job entertaining twins boys when I was 15. The following summer I was forced into the real work force and became a nursing assistant at a retirement facility. This started me on my path to a lifetime of caregiving careers. After my children were born I was employed at a church daycare (Lee Rd Baptist Church). I was there 11 years and enjoyed every minute of it. From tolit training two to rocking in the infant room and planning activities for school aged children I loved it. After that time situations changing and geographics changing I needed a chance. I went back into retirement centers. I have earned my CNA certification and have worked with dementia residents, long term care, rehab, and done everything in between. I am still currently in this role and love it. Right now I'm just wanting to seek out options that will fit into my families current situation as well as use my talents to enable some other family to breathe easier knowing their loved ones are in good hands. I would love to work one on one with a family and devote all of my time and energy into that one role so that I may be the best of me.
