My experience comes strictly from personal experience. I was a care giver, for my mom, father-in-law, grandmother, and parents of friends. I have experience with COPD, strokes, congestive heart failure, cancer, dementia/Alzheimer's etc. I am not an RN or CNA. I have set up medical appointment and provided transportation to meet those appointments. I organized medications. I kept records of all medications and provided copies for all doctors so that everyone was on the same page. I kept logs of all appointments what was discussed and any medication changes or recommendations. My most valuable asset, everything I do is with my heart. I truly believe that compassion, kindness, understanding, and patience go a long way. I know first hand how difficult being a caregiver for a loved can be on a family. I have no problem agreeing to a background check if there is the possibility of an employment opportunity.
