I am a mother of three children with disabilities. The youngest is now 19 years old and a freshman at Coker College. In an effort to help ease her transition, I relocated to the area to provide support and encourage her independence. I retired from higher education after 33 years of service to focus on her social skills and academic readiness. I also serve as a habilitation technician and work with her part-time in accordance with treatment plan goals.
