While still in high school I began taking the classes necessary to become a CNA, I completed all of my training but unfortunately I became sick near the end of my clinicals and lacked 3 hours that were needed for me to be able to test. I spent 3 months interning at a nursing home and caring for both men and women. I helped feed them, bath them, change them, spend time with them, and provide a helping hand. I also have a husband now who has cancer and I am his primary caregiver who knows how to flush PICC lines and trifusions ports and administer medicines on a time schedule.
