While working at Cookeville Regional Hospital in 2005 I cared for a patent for several weeks. His wife was touched by how he responded to my care and insisted I come work for her and care for him in their home. From 2005 - 2007 I was a caregiver to a Tennessee Tech professor. His name was Doctor Godes. He had sever altrizmers.

I learned that his wife chose private care rather than streamline care through an agency because she didn't have to worry about politics and she was truely in control of his care. She wanted to be the ultimate decision maker in how he was cared for. I appreciated her passion for his well being. I cared for Mr. Godes until he passed in 2007.

I quickly began applying for work once he passed. I have attached my resume to explain my work history since that point. I am now looking to get back into personal care privately. I am enrolled in a masters degree program and want only part time hours.

In addition to caring for Mr. Godes I also cared for my grandmother for several months while she was in a nursing home. I sat with her from 8:30 am until 4:00pm Monday - Saturday. Then returned from 8pm - 9pm. (I lived 3 miles from the nursing home) I am sure the nurses at the nursing home cared for her the best way they knew but it still didn't seem like enough. I was the only person there with her as she passed.

I am not looking to have more than one person to care for. I am looking for 25 - 30 hours a week. I charge between $15 - $20 an hour depending on the type of care needed.
