*I helped my grandmother tend to my grandfather that was bed ridden with Parkinson's.

* I worked for Help at Home in IL for 2 years taking care of a bed bound elderly woman with Alzheimer's and an elderly man with emphysema and blindness. I bathed, changed, fed, transferred, gave breathing treatments, medications, and drove to appointments and such. Most importantly I listened to them and loved them as if they were my own family.

*I worked for 2 years for The Sunshine Center in IL as a site supervisor and also drove to houses to deliver meals to the elderly(meals on wheels). I over saw lunch time for an elderly assistance home. Bonding with the men and women. I gave classes for exercising in chairs, taught them games and crafts. I loved this job and became close to all the men and women.

*For the past two years I have worked as a nanny to two young children. Cooking for them, feeding, doing their laundry, taking them to the doctor and other activities. Although this is not elderly care, it involves the same needs and principle.

*Most importantly I have a big heart and love to help others. I am full of compassion and go the extra mile to make someone smile. I am prompt and dependable. I am professional and trustworthy. I will keep all information private. I treat others as I would want to be treated. I am healthy, and active, willing to assist those that aren't capable of getting around.
