I do not have any papers saying I love our senior population. I think the main thing is truly caring and wanting to make a difference in someones life no matter how small.
How can I serve you today? What is it that makes their eyes light up? Some people need to talk, maybe even repeat what they are saying a few times, or reminisce about days gone by while others may need to just have someone there to hold their hand or sit with them or maybe go for a walk and enjoy the great outdoors.
I am from North Dakota and do not have the privilege of still having a mom or dad living. My husband and I moved down south over 40 years ago mostly due to going to college but also to get out of the COLD. :) Our daughter lives in Nashville and we live in Hermitage. We cherish family times.
