At first, I became a caregiver because I needed a job and obtained one caring for developmentally disabled adults. As I progressed in this field, I found an immense satisfaction in knowing the services I provided made an actual, quantifiable difference in the lives of those for whom I cared. Seeing my service recipients smile and call me brother absolutely made my day. Also, I am a Christian, and as such, being a servant to others fulfills one of the mandates set forth by my Master. These things, combined with excellent time management and attention to detail gained in my experience as a restaurant manager and, before that, a Marine, make me very good at what I do.
