Hallie’s Bio
I was a caregiver to my grandfather in his last years. He had Alzheimer's and could hardly get around with out assistance. I feel I learned a lot from that experience. I learned how to comfort him when he would become distraught because of the Alzheimer's. Also he had several other medical problems I assisted him with such as making sure he got his medication on time every day. I assisted him in bathing and using the restroom , changing cloths and making sure he maintained a healthy diet. I feel the best thing I did for him was to just be there through his hard times by comforting him and making sure he had some one to talk to. To this day I still help take care of my grandmother she's fairly healthy but anything I can do for her I go out of my way to get it done. I feel its important to have a strong relationship with elderly patients, every one needs a friend. Building a strong relationship with my employer and the person I am caring for is very important to me. This type of job is very close to my heart. I just want to help the patient enjoy there life no matter what kinds of things they are going through.
