Marisol’s Bio
I have been taking care of seniors for over 10 years now. I think what I ask for is a reasonable price for what I do. I sign in, email you everyday, let you know what your love ones reading were, meal prep., medication reminder, Dr. appointments, run errands if needed, light housekeeping, bathing, grooming, light laundry, companionship, oral hygiene, and outing. I guess I can start by saying I started very young in taking care of my neighbor and adopted her into our family as Grandma Young. You see Grandma Young was blind and her kids lived far away so my mom, sister, and myself took care of her day in and day out. We kept everything she had in her place and would not let anyone move her stuff. We were very protective of her and her needs. She knew with us no one was going to get by with pulling the wool over her eyes. I think she was very tickles about that. After some years went by I graduated and had a family of my own, but she wasn't having that. She still wanted me to take care of her so she talked to her kids and her kids came to me and asked me to move in with there mom I told them I have a family now they still moved us in and all her kids loved us they said all you would have to do is pay for your own food and make sure mom was taken care of. They knew we didn't use much of anything cause of the way I was brought up. Now here I am 42 now and still love taking care of people I think it is my calling. Although now I am single and have a 18 year old son and two daughters 24, and 22 and 3 grandchildren. Every time my grandchildren come over they never want to leave it's pretty funny I think. My nephew was here one day at my house and saw that my grandchildren didn't want to leave and he said wow (Tia) that's aunt in Spanish. I said what, all of you were like that every time yall came yall would never want to go. I told him its because I took yall out to the park and movies and spent time with yall. Ok I guess that's just a little piece of my life. But I just love hearing stories especially from older people I think they have a lot to say and just need to be heard.
