I'm 64 yrs old I've been doing patient care since 1974 I learned doing patient care in a nursing home in west texas them i moved to Ben Wheeled and work in van in a nursing home for about a year then in 1995 i started at ETMC in the cardiac unit for 6 years then I stop working for awhile I took care of my parents,my brother,my sister who had down syndrome then I went back to ETMC and worked in the Speciality unit till Dec.2017...My duties are helping patients with bath,feeding,exercise,help doing wound care,blood pressure,sugar checks,would help nurses as they needed..I really enjoy taking care of the elderly I love the elderly I think they are very fragile I took care of many patients when they tell me "thank you for taking care of me"thats whats make my day it means that I did my job kept them happy and comfortable.I just enjoy been a care giver and I Thank God for giving me the opportunities for been a loving and care person.
