Jessica’s Bio
I discovered while working at The Vantage in Fort Worth that I have a strong compassion for the elderly and senior citizens. It was by accident that I discovered that this is something that I would love to pursue as a lifelong career. While I was employed at Vantage I voluntarily assisted many residents during my off hours when they needed help with various things. It was so rewarding to me to help those in need and although they offered payment, I always refused. While at the Vantage I also worked in the building where the Alzheimer and memory care patients resided. Although I don't have certification I received training on the proper care and understanding of these individuals. I am CPR certified but lack the other certifications. I left my position as a dining room server to pursue a career in personal care assistance. After I left the Vantage I went to work 3 days a week, sometimes more, where I provided personal care and companionship for a senior citizen following a surgery that left him partially incapacitated. I have such love and care for the elderly and enjoy working with them and helping in anyway that I can. So often these people are neglected and lonely and it gives me great pleasure to be able to be there for them and brighten their day.
