Alyssa’s Bio
Hi, my name is Alyssa. I have experience caring for people with special medical needs and disabilities. I am also a mom to two toddlers and have extensive experience as a babysitter and nanny.
I am currently a third year Nursing student at Austin Community College. I am expected to graduate in May 2024 with an ADN to be an RN. I also have a bachelors in Health Administration from Texas State and a minor in Spanish.
I full time from home during the week with a very flexible schedule. I also work part time as a caregiver; I pick up shifts as needed. I have experience with physical disabilities, such as cerebral palsy, and with cognitive and social issues, such as autism and dementia. I have worked for home care companies and for private clients. I am currently CPR BLS certified through the American Heart Association and vaccinated against COVID. My skills range from companion care to full transfers and catheterization. I am versatile in any sitaution.
I greatly enjoy caring for others, both young and old. I enjoy caring for those with disabilities or health problems because I firmly believe everyone is deserving of compassionate, competent care. It only takes a single person to make a significant difference in a person's life. I hope to be that single person.
