I have taken care of my mom in the hospital and as her advocate when she suddenly became ill and was diagnosed with Dementia in Oct 2011. I spent 4 months in acute care and rehabilitation homes with her and finally a private care home for three days before she passed peacefully on Feb 25, 2012. As a caregiver I can offer light help and companionship. Run errands and also help with light duties.
For babysitting I am a mother of a 33 year old daughter that I raised to be a double bachelor RN in Labor and Delivery at Dallas Presbyterian. I am very comfortable with children of all ages and am always referred to as the fun aunt with my nieces and nephews. I have boundaries I set for them that are broad but still safe and fun. I explain why they have to listen to me and I take them and wear them out with fun activities. I am a big kid in a lot of ways and a nurturing person by nature so I always treat people like I want to be treated no matter their age.
I love pets and have no problem pet sitting.
