I have assisted in the care of several of my elderly relatives and have worked as a housekeeper in the hotel industry and as a self employed business owner. I have also worked as a bookkeeper and an organizational coach. I feel I have compassion for people and patience in handling their needs. I am especially careful when communication is an issue. I feel that everyone deserves dignity and respect no matter their age. My goal is to give that to everyone who crosses my path. In dealing with situations concerning my relatives, I have come across attitudes that demean and demoralize the elderly. I feel this is a terribly sad situation that someone would have to endure that at any time, but especially when they are defenseless against it. I would like to make a difference in elderly care in that way. I would strive to be someone my client could rely on to make them comfortable and well cared for while preserving their dignity and whatever amount of independence they still have.
