Cheryl’s Bio
My name is Cheryl and I was blessed to have been raised by my grandmother who was an amazing Christian woman and taught me early in life that the key to joy is caring for others. That advice set me on a life long professional life working with people of many backgrounds and needs. I began working with special needs folks at age 18 and now at sixty I enjoy working with people as much as I did forty years ago. Although I've had the opportunity to work with both special needs individuals as well as amazing seniors, my greatest joy was caring for my dear grandmother from age 80 until she passed away at age 105! My husband and I live in Richardson (same home for 36 years) where we raised our three wonderful children and we are also thrilled to be "Grams and Pop" amazing two year old grandson who lives with my son and his family in Austin. My personal interest include, bible study, reading, cooking, art, music and learning, most often from folks I have the pleasure of working with. I am certified in CPR/First Aid and have active background checks with RISD, New Friends New Life, Hope's Door and Texas Special Olympics.
