I have been a certified nursing assistant for the last 6 years. I have worked in a long term care facility caring for many different patients and have come to love each and every one of them. They all bring a different level of meaning to your life. My residents could always put me in a good mood no matter what I was experiencing before I went to work. I also took care of both of my grandparents when they were ill and unable to take care of themselves until they passed along. I believe getting to know your patients and listening to their stories about their lives are the most interesting part of any persons job. You can learn a lot from those older than you if you just take the time to listen to them and what they have to say.
