My name is Stacy. I'm an active 55 year old, married mother of five adults. I've spent the past 14 years as a teacher. (Thirteen, in a Catholic elementary school teaching second grade and the past 9 months at a non-profit pre-school working with four year olds.) My youngest daughter just graduated from high school and is attending a local academy. My other children are away at universities. I also have a Black Lab-mix named Baxter.

I referenced my family first because they are my life's work. I am a dedicated wife and mother and it brings me joy to create a comfortable home. I am a skilled cook that is able to create delicious and nutritious meals. I would be very happy to work on projects such as photo albums or letters. I love to read aloud and also enjoy puzzles and cards. I believe it is important to be a lifelong learner and I research information on interests such as health.

I am a graduate of George Mason University with a B.A. in History. I have taken graduate classes in Education at University of Virginia's satellite campus in Falls Church. I have a current Red Cross certificate in First Aid/CPR. I have a very safe driving record as well as being reliable and conscientious.

I believe I would be an excellent companion because I am friendly, easy going and like to laugh. I am intuitive enough to pick up on subtle cues and have a gentle, firm manner. I am very respectful of others.
