I became a caregiver not by choice when my great grandmother fell & broke her hip. From there she went down hill, so there would be days where I had to go & watch her, dress her, help clean up & made sure she ate & took her medication correctly. I've always enjoyed being in her company. She used to be a caregiver to another elderly woman when I was younger & seeing how happy & excited the lady was when my great grandmother would be with her made me want to do the same when I got older. I feel like when some people get old their family just push them to the side & forget about them. But seniors still need the love & companionship as they did when they was younger. And I want to be their new friend & put a smile on their face.
I have no training & no certifications, but I'm really hoping someone will give me a chance to help them.
