I provided nursing care in accordance with resident care policies and procedures. I ensured the safety and well-being of the residents is maintained. I assisted residents with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and grooming in accordance with an established care plan. I measured and recorded patient's fluid intake and output. I recorded patient's vital signs, administrated medication and recorded ADL's. I used all lifting devices in the nursing home. I also provided personal healthcare in homes and transferred patients in or out of wheelchairs, baths and vehicles. I helped patients with housekeeping tasks like cleaning, tidying, laundry and errands and gave emotional support to patients and their families. I provided companionship to keep patients mentally healthy and accompanied patients to doctor visits, appointments and social activities. I gave patients oral medications, as prescribed and kept careful, accurate records of patient care, patient condition and care activities. I reported all problems to supervisors and case managers and followed all health and safety rules. I worked with patients suffering from Alzheimer's or dementia and I worked with patients with developmental disabilities.
