Cassandra’s Bio
My journey in care giving began as a student at the University of Edinburgh. After having enrolled in a hospice counseling course, my professor asked me to be a chaplain at the hospice where he worked for the remainder of my time as a student in Scotland (6 months). I fell in love with the experience of being there for those going through tough medical times and pursued my Masters of Arts studying how to improve holistic care for those receiving medical treatment. Since then, I enjoyed two years caring for a gentleman with special needs, whose family welcomed me and respected me greatly for the unending care I provided their son. Since then, I have attempted settling into an "office" job but really miss the powerful experience that is caregiving. Other things seem trivial when I have helped those who truly need it, and I miss doing so.
