I'm a single mom re-entering the workforce. I have been caring for two great and happy kids who are 15 and 13 years old. My 15 year old son is high functioning Autistc and my 13 year old daughter is National Junior Honor Society Vice President who plays in the school orchestra and the Drama productions. For the last 3 years I have been caring for my 73 year old father. He has diabetes, high blood pressure and he has had a stroke. He is very unsteady on his feet. I have accompanied him to the VA Hospital and many different health care appointments. I have been responsible for keeping his prescriptions current and filled. I have kept him company going to stores and the gym. I have a YMCA membership. I have my own car that can help a person get to their appointments. I am also available to shop, cook, errands around town, read a book and light house keeping (including laundry). I was a Girl Scout Troop leader for 4 years and I'm currently the assistant leader to my Daughter's troop. I'm a Navy Veteran and spent 5 years in Italy. I am flexible in my scheduling, I'm available most days, evenings and occasionally overnight when needed. I will be available for weekends on a case by case basis. For example if the client gets ill and requires more supervision or I'm available most weekends if emergencies or urgent things are needed. An example is that the person needs food delivered or something important picked up from the store.
