I have worked in a Domestic Violence shelter for 10 years as a Children's Advocate. In my time here, I have worked with many children with Special Needs. I am known for my patience and knowledge with this population. I also have a Human Services Counseling degree with a minor in Special Education. I also know some sign language. I provide Case Management, transportation to appointments and Therapeutic Child Care for my clients. I have been independently babysitting since I was 12. For five years, I was employed in a Daycare setting. I have experience with all ages.
In my spare time, I am a part time care giver for my mother who has Dementia. I enjoy spending time with her and providing respite care for my father. You will often find me spending time with my animals. I pet sit for any animal as well. People and animals are near and dear to my heart.
I am CPR and First Aid Certified. Recently I trained as a Naloxone responder.
