well to begin I became a Private care assistant when I was 18 fresh out of high school! My aunt has her own home healthcare business through an assisted living facility and I began working there with the elderly that has dementia and Alzheimer's disease. I can definitely say that working with them was a great experience because I listened to their stories and leveled with them when they needed it. I did care for them taking them places and taking care of laundry and their hygiene as well as make sure their eating habits were well. Also as you may know that the elderly with these diseases can be very much like children and can be confused and non- compliant at times. so relating to my younger twin sibling I would be stern with them to let them know right from wrong and explain why. it is never good to use physical force with anyone because that can create a bad relationship with you and that patient/client.
