In high school I wanted to be an ECE teacher and so I worked with children at local daycares for class. After high school I worked at the YMCA in Auburn, Wa as well as Growing Years in Seattle, Wa and Kaleidoscope Childcare in Auburn, Wa. I wanted to do something more so I left childcare and went into other lines of work from sales to warehouse work for a few years... Almost 9 years ago I was asked to be a caregiver for my friend's stepfather. I worked with him for two years until he went to an agency. I then got hired on at ResCare in Kent, Wa and worked with them for a few years with my friends stepdad till he passed away. When he passed away I went to school to become a medical assistant. ( It wasn't ideal for me in the end) I then went to work for Integrated Living Services in Kent, Wa with my NAR license and worked with non verbal/ verbal disabled adults. It was very rewarding especially having a younger sibling who is autistic.
