Julie’s Bio
I've worked for over five years as a certified nursing assistant with the geriatric population in the states of Idaho, Montana and Washington. Additionally, I was the primary caregiver of my grandmother for multiple years who suffered from a stroke and mixed dementia. I ran a home-based daycare for five and a half years where I was responsible for providing a loving, caring, and nurturing environment for infant through preschool aged children. I coordinated preschool activities that enhanced gross-motor and fine-motor abilities of each child as well as fostered independence and growth. Most recently, I've worked for nearly seven years as a para-educator in both a public and private school setting. I assist with both general and special education students. I have worked with a wide range of special needs individuals where I was responsible for their learning, safety, well-being, while fostering basic life skills and independence needed to function daily. With my well-rounded background and experience, I understand the importance of offering unconditional love, maintaining dignity, independence, safety and care with a fun and creative environment.
