Tanya W. Care Companion in Seattle, WA 98119

I am presently working with a lovely lady and have been with her for four years. I am looking for another position only because her family has requested 24-hour care. I am the lead person on the team of three and work three consecutive 24-hour shifts. I have been on that schedule for several months and find that it is too hard on my own family.

As a Companion I participate in her Tai Chi class and other group activities. I go with her to movies, browsing in shops, to museums, to the opera, for drives and visiting with family and friends. I have gone with her on vacations to the Oregon coast, to Colorado and to Mexico. We cook together, go for drives, do crossword puzzles, dance and have fun!

As a Caregiver I tend to her personal needs. I assist her with bathing, redirect her due to her dementia, schedule and accompany her to appointments and shop for groceries and clothing. I write reports to keep family and others involved with her care informed.

As a Household Manager I see that her home is in good order. I do some light housekeeping but other chores are I delegated to professionals. I shop with her for major appliances and schedule installations as well as schedule home maintenance, Family members visit often, so I help her with entertaining and getting the home in order for over-nights.

I am certified and current with CPR. I have passed background checks with my current position and when I worked as a School Crossing Guard for the Seattle Police Department
