Hello, my name is Kelsey. I'm a 24 year old nursing student at Bellevue college. I live in Northgate Seattle, and I'm looking to spend some time caregiving through the week to supplement my tuitions and get some great experience. I am available weekdays and weekends, depending on hours and school scheduling. I am halfway through nursing school, so have a lot of experience with a lot of different types of disorders, disabilities and diseases. My 8 years of experience in a supervision / customer service role at a Qfc has helped me gain skills needed to ensure client satisfaction. I have my certified nursing assistant license and I'm also trained in CPR and BLS healthcare. I have experience with giving medications, caring for ostomys and catheters, tracheostomy and ventilation support, g-tubes and peg tubes, ng tubes and TPN nutrition. I know how to care for tubes, drains and lines, I also would love to help clean, cook, take to appointments, or anything else that would help the client to maximize their individual needs and wants. I consider myself to be a very polite, friendly and bubbly young woman. I love to laugh, and make people laugh, and always focus on the positive and not the negative. I have a spotless record, never have been convicted of anything at all, and graduated High School and shortly thereafter got my Associate of Arts at Shoreline Community College. I have had three clinical rotations so far in my nursing program: at Providence Mount St Vincent in West Seattle- providing care for retired nuns such as activities of daily living and hygiene care; at Seattle medical acute rehabilitation in downtown Seattle on both the tracheostomy and ventilated unit and on the chronic disease post-surgical floor; and also at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue on their post-op surgery floor as well.
