Tegan O. Care Companion in Cle Elum, WA 98922

Hi!  I am currently seeking a caregiving job.  I recently was taking care of a 74 year old woman with Alzheimer's.  She was extremely active, thus I was constantly on my toes!  I liked to take her for walks, dance, and try and make her laugh/smile (she was unable to communicate).  My job mainly consisted of making sure she was staying out of trouble :), meal prep, exercise, bathing/hygiene/bathroom breaks, light housekeeping and companion.   My second experience was with an 87 year old woman with slight dementia.  She was not as active but I would take her on walks via wheelchair weather permitting!  With her, I was mainly a companion, but also did her meal prep, dog sitting, light housekeeping, bathing/hygiene/bathroom breaks (both wore adult diapers), medicine, and bedtime.  I kept her mentally sharp by doing crossword puzzles.  I am an active person and would love to get our family member active as well, both physically and mentally.  Whether that be walks outside, or just sitting in a chair hitting a ballon up in the air or dancing!  I love to cook and want to be the best provider for your loved one.  I think seniors have great stories and they know a lot more than we do!  I am also licensed in cosmetology and would be able to give haircuts, perms/roller sets, color, and paint nails.  I am a great listener, and I know they know when you are on the internet on your phone or texting and I don't believe that is fair to them.  I would rather do crosswords, walk, play games or cards, listen to old stories than watch tv (unless it's jeopardy or wheel of fortune ha!)  Thank you for reading!
