My grandmother who passed had many care companions that she did not care for and my other grandmother who has many issues since her stroke would never accept a care companion at all. Although the elderly can seem difficult to deal with at times, active listening and patience can go a long way to create engaging communication and most people of all ages simply want to be heard and understood.
