I have done housekeeping in my friends' parents home where they reside residents of their own. I took a passion for caring for elderly after that in the past few years working in assisted living homes. I LOVE my job as a Personal Care Taker. I've thought about becoming a CNA and taking a further step, but I LOVE the assisted living or in-home care because I feel I get the better chance of getting to know my residents and making them really appreciate the help they get from me. Whether it's the most calming, passionate care where they can tell I do it for them and not for the money or if it's just daily activites where I can make them laugh and smile and really appreciate the life they still have left in them. :)
