Lisa’s Bio

I began my career as a CNA and transitioned to Home Health.
I primarily worked with terminally ill children, adults and children with quadriplegia and cared for my grandmother during her last ten years as she struggled with Alzheimer's disease.
After that, I became a preschool teacher and then continued with my love of assisting families, by transitioning to Administrative Assistant for the local school district. I then have spent 13 years working with families as they relocated to the area, registering their students, connecting them with services and covering the nurses office 3 days per week.
After retiring from the school district, I returned to caring for seniors as a care companion. I spent two years caring for a lovely woman with Alzheimer's disease until she transitioned into a memory care facility, and most recently for a gentlemen with Alzheimer's disease until his transition into memory care.
I have found that patience and humor are the best tools to use when working with loved ones with memory issues.
I am honored by the trust these families have placed in me when choosing me to help their loved ones.
