I have been a care giver for 28+ years, serving both my own family and those of others. I have been employed in academic and government sectors to survive financially, while caring for my children and the elderly, and those with disabilities and health complications. I have enjoyed care giving far beyond the desk jobs.
I am CPR and first aid certified, I am computer literate, I am an accomplished writer/editor, tutor (English), academic adviser, and life skills counselor. I am a very organized multitasker, problem-solver, and listener. I love reading, gardening, hiking, fishing, cooking, travel, cleaning (yes! cleaning!), knitting, music, and can play the piano. I have experienced the world of autism and cancer within my circle of family and friends; I am well-versed in life's ups and downs, and - thankfully! - I still have a great sense of humor!!
