We are looking for possibly a nanny/respite care for a few hours a week for our 1 autistic boy in La Fayette. Timing is flexible. Some light housekeeping, minor meal prep. Most important thing is a thorough understanding of how to care for a 3-year-old toddler who has autism. Patience and personal emotional regulation and understanding is required. Experience with children on the spectrum is required. He is very sweet and loving, but can be a lot when having a meltdown and so there will be a varied mix of activities from indoor play, to outdoor play along with simple teaching activities. Extensive onboarding and overseeing would take place initially to ensure a good fit for all parties.
